ISO/AWS – the same weld, but different weld symbols

The European ISO 2553 and the American AWS/ANSI A2.4 are similar, yet not identical. When preparing fabrication drawings, it is important to distinguish between these two approaches. ISO uses a dot-line to indicate the position of the weld from the visible or non-visible side, while AWS uses a sign above or beneath the sign line to indicate the position of the weld.

Do you use Tekla Structures or Advance Steel? Bear in mind that you should switch not only between the metric and imperial systems, but also between system ISO and AWS.
